Less handshakes,
more masks. Less office, more
online tasks. A year of pandemic
has shown how quickly we
can adapt.
It’s been about a year that suddenly a virus forced us to rethink a lot of what we thought was normal. Whatever your thoughts about it are, we humanity have shown that we can adapt to a changing environment quickly and resolutely. Rituals, ways of working, so much has changed because it had to and we made it work. In some cases, we even shed relics of the past that kept us down.
Now it’s time to look ahead. What other obsolete habits and rituals are we holding on to, while we know it’s time to change them. Or maybe even the time to change them was already a long time ago. Gender gaps, racism, an unrelenting addiction to fossil fuels? If COVID-19 has shown us anything, it’s that we have the power to quickly change habits that endanger us. So let us now finally end gender inequality, racism, discrimination of any type and stop climate change. We can do it. We are superheroes. We are humanity!

“Weaving in and out / Memories and daydreams”, dream away while being carried by “the ebb and flow of life” in this poem by Lisa N. Bolin.
Daffodils, croci, sakura. The images of spring are filling up social media these days. But an unsung phenomenon is a cleansing spring storm. Fortunately, A Christine Meyers wrote about that in Tonight’s Weather in Three Lines.
Your poem is spot on! We are certainly adaptable, us humans. And I’ve never appreciated hand cream so much! 😂
Thank you so much for sharing my poem 💕
