Tiny crab

pebbles and wood smoothened by the salt
and currents of the sea.
Beach treasure.
The beach is always an inspiration to me. The sound, the scent, the sand and all the beautiful things you find on it. This poem is a little bit about that. But it’s also part of something else I find inspiring: experimenting. I am experimenting with this poem and the words in it, to see if I can make many distinct versions by alternating just a few words. The project is a latent activity, so I return to it once in a while. It brings me joy, and inspiration.
What do you like to experiment with?
Poetics in life
Can you name your favourite piece of art from a certain museum? Or your favourite anything? I always find it hard to answer a question like that. Because there’s so much beauty, spectacle and general awesomeness in so many categories, it’s very hard to pick just one favourite.
Yet, I found myself asking about people’s favourite art pieces on social media. I actually asked the question. I did get some wonderful replies and a nice conversation when one person named Ilya shared the video above.
