Tour de France
helicopters show us
our beautiful planet from above.
On this mountain side I
feel like one.
Beautiful views from above spice up the slow moments in the toughest bicycle race in the world. The helicopters of the Tour de France show the beauty of France (and other countries where the Tour passes through). It ignites beautiful Fernweh in me. Recently we were travelling in the Alps, also staying a week in Tignes. This year’s Tour had a stage finish in this ski resort. Still very visible, even after more than a month. While hiking down the Tovière mountain, we came across the view in the picture above. It’s the scene of the final kilometres of that stage. For a moment, I felt like a helicopter in the Tour de France.
The poem on top is a tritriplicata, a poetic form I created. If you want to know more about it, click here to find answers to some of the questions you might have.
