Flowers yield
to rocks and snow. Beyond
this line, life is limited by harsh,
cold conditions. Here be
uniqueness.
High up in the mountains, there will be a point where you cross the treeline. And later maybe even the line where other vegetation stops growing. It’s in these zones that unique flora (and fauna) emerges. The edelweiss in the picture above is just an example. It shows that every ecosystem has its specific qualities that let specific species thrive.
Our world is an amazing place, isn’t it?
