Fairytale
scenery by night, and
early morning wildlife habitat,
and afternoon playground,
and... our park.
Our park has many faces, and functions. Even for us. We walk our dog there, play there, run there. Some people come for a picnic, others for the tennis club, and there are those who come to shoot their wedding day photos. There are the regulars. The ones you always see, every day, at the same time. And there are the ones who only come when the sun is shining. It’s a lovely park, a fun park, a park that is seen and experienced by everybody in it from a different perspective.
Just like life.
What is your park to you?

Poetry elsewhere
The world is our home, our everything. Some even refer to our planet as Mother Earth. Our planet, our mother. I like that idea. And when she calls, we have to act. As poet Laura Muresan describes in the poem Beneath the Surface.
If you have ever travelled by plane, you know that airports are worlds of their own. Worlds where natural laws, like the behaviour of time, are different. This poem by Scott Muska is a great view on such a different world. Read A Flight Before The Flight.
A haiga, I did not know that until recently, is a painting painted by a haiku poet. To accompany a haiku. I learned about this through a poet I came across on objkt.com, an NFT marketplace on the Tezos blockchain. (If you don’t know what that means, please follow along with my A crypto poet’s guide to the metaverse.) He has created many already, but his most recent one is one I particularly like.
