Shrub shelter game: who finds
the rainbow?
Spring is known as the season of the world coming back to life, exploding into a colourful painting of yellow, and pink, and white, and purple blossoms. Cherry trees, daffodils, the colours are especially bright in the sunlight of the lengthening days. But spring, despite its reputation of sun and warmth, is also the season of storms. And showers. We got caught in one, but still had fun.
It also reminded me of a poem I wrote several years back. It's a bit of a children's song, which is a very interesting, but often overlooked category of poetry. It's also, I think, quite influential in the development of poetry-appreciation. Which leads me to a question I've been meaning to ask you for a while now:
What is a children's song that brings you good memories of growing up, but also is one you sang/sing/will sing for your kids?
Looking forward to your thoughts. Have a wonderful weekend.
