For a while
I resisted, until
temptation got the better of me.
Fortunately, the line
was too long.
It is supposed to be quite simple. If you consume more energy than you use, you store it and gain weight. If you use more energy than you consume, you use stored energy and lose the extra weight. Simple, but not that easy. I have started to use more energy, and it did help a little. I did not gain weight at the same speed as before. But it was not enough. So, now I’m trying additionally to consume less energy. Mainly by skipping unnecessary snacking. It helps to not have these snacks in the house. Not buying them is a powerful way to start breaking bad habits.
Then, temptation kicks in. And these delicious crisps being on sale just yelled at me: “Buy us, buy us, buy us!” At that moment I let my guard down, grabbed a bag, and went to the checkout line. It was the only thing I wanted to purchase in that shop. Then I saw the line. It was long. Too long for me. I put back the crisps and walked away.
Whether you call it faith, divine intervention, karma, kismet, luck or coincidence, it does not really matter. You have a choice. And when the universe sends you a signal, you have to be there to interpret it in a way that helps you. You have the agency to act when you get a helping hand. Remember that.

I like to make connections. Help where I can. We, my better half and me, also like to see that basic value in our children. It’s important for the future. We need to help each other, be kind. So, when I read this poem by
, it felt like home. Enjoy reading Who Are You Trying To Help:My poet friend Ashwini Dodani creates amazing works that can really help you to get a deeper understanding of how you want to define your positive traits. Reading his work is soothing and inspiring. Like his poem Charity from the collection The Universe Is Calling. Enjoy Charity and collect an edition if you can.
Seasons are changing. It’s part of our cycle of life. To me, every season has its beautiful sides. Other people, like
