Suddenly
you're not just pretending
anymore. Sounding out all the words
letter by letter you
read your book
“Today I’ve been reading in school,” she said, out of the blue. Like it was something ordinary. Nothing special.
But it was. And it is. Special. Our ReBelle has started reading. She had been playing with words already. Pretending like she was reading. Not anymore. There are even books coming home from school to practice. Books like Dog on a Log.
So, when ReBelle was reading to me, I wrote a poem. To hear the two combined (with a catchy tune), click the white arrow:
The poem on top is a tritriplicata, a poetic form I created. If you want to know more about it, click here to find answers to some of the questions you might have. If you want to read a collection of tritriplicata poems, why not buy my ebook Thinking of Europe. It has 27 tritriplicata poems taking you on a journey through Europe.
The picture is a fragment of a mural dedicated to Anne Frank, which can be found in the town of Bougival, on the banks of the Seine in the Yvelines departement.
