Our daughter dances. Always. To music we can hear, to music in her head. She dances through life, and it makes her, and us, happy.
Dance is exercise and creativity in one. From exercise, we know it releases endorphins which improve your mood. Creativity, it is said, reduces anxiety, depression and stress. So, dancing is a great way to boost your mood.
Your creative prompt for this Sunday is…
Choreograph a small dance routine and perform it. Alone, or with someone you want to have some fun with.
Share what you experienced in the comments, if you wish. But more importantly: dance, dance, dance.
In the image above, a little dance routine I made for my daughter and me. We had loads of fun ‘doing our dance’.
This creative prompt is a new series in your inbox poetry magazine. Find it every Sunday in your inbox. In January, these prompts are open to everybody. Then, they will be for paid subscribers only.
Dancing is LIFE!!!!
We dance all the time around here. Always have. TGH and I, with kids and grandkids. Dance is the physical manifestation of joy, and lots of other emotions too!
