Thanks so much for the share, friend! & wow, first bitcoin poetry I've experienced. I wonder if it will be the only. She's great, though. So glad to discover her! Thank you!
Loved the poem, so it was my pleasure to share it. And yes, bitcoin is a bit different than other blockchains. Ana is amazing. She's such a wonderful writer, and a warm person. There's much to discover about her.
Oh my, I didn't even see that. Really??? How could I have missed it.
Anna Paulownastraat. Wow. That's a great location to live. We still come often in The Hague, and driving by the Vredespaleis is really a nice thing to do. My father in law was the first musical artist to perform there.
And as a true "Hagenees", I am quite proud of that place, and what it stands for. Now also the International Criminal Court found its home in The Hague.
What did you like best in The Hague? When were you there? We may have even crossed paths...
We were there from 1973-1975. I got into bicycling, volleyball, coffee and meisjes. It was a wonderful, but cloudy and rainy two years. Those gorgeous spring days were miraculous. We lived above a Vroom and Dreesmann department store and our concierge was Meneer Krebbers whose cousin was Herman Krebbers and got us great seats to hear him at I think the Concertgebouw. Very memorable.
Oh, wow. I was born in 1973, so it might just be possible. Yes, bicycles are still a thing in The Netherlands. There are in fact more bicycles than people. I didn't even know there was a V&D in the Anna Pauwlonastraat. The chain used to be big, but they have disappeared a few years back. Seem to be almost forgotten even.
But now for the absolute crazy bit: Herman Krebbers was a very good friend of my father in law. They had the same profession.

Fatalii is a good name for a hot little dude. Drop a couple ii's and we can see it more clearly.
BTW, the view out my bedroom window on Anna Paulownastraat was the International Court of Justice, we called it Vredespaleis.

That is just crazy. A few years later I got to see Isak Perlman play, some great moments, along with Yo Yo Ma later. What a world.
Wow. Yo Yo Ma is amazing. I will have to look up Isak Perlman.
Thanks, Weston.
My wife and her family were from Indonesia and Oma grew those little hot peppers that stinged of hell on the tongue. Thanks for the reminder, Arjan.
I hope the reminder is a good one, Paul. I bet Oma made you eat lots of food.
Thank you for reading!
You win that bet hands-down, Arjan! Always "'Makan! Makan!"
Let's just say I know that culture :).
Thanks so much dear Arjan ! Lovely post. 🙏
Thanks, Reena. I loved that poem. It writes from the perspective my kids must also have. I love that. I hope it helps me understand them better.
Plus, it was well written, and I love your style.
You're the best, Arjan. I feel your kids are lucky to have your generous and thoughtful spirit.
Well, fortunately for them, their mother is the real gem.
Thanks, Reena.
Aww... so sweet
