Had to look it up. What a beautiful mountain. Interesting to see that it looks to stand out from anything and everything around it. Also, to a person who has not seen both in real life, looks a bit like Mount Fuji.
Probably also looks amazing when flying over it. The Alps do.
If you fly into Portland from the east, you usually fly right by/next to it. On a clear enough day-and if you know where to look- you can "just" make out the little dots that are skiers. It's magical.

I grew up in the shadow of Mt. Hood. I really miss having it in my life. Such a calm/steadying presence!
