I've been thinking a lot about your ideas of first steps, and finding connections. I think I've previously thought about healing as finding a way to heal the disparity caused by differences. Whereas now, with this thought you've introduced, I can see a light shining on a way to heal that is wholly accepting of these differences, whatever tragedy they might infer, and instead put focus entirely on the things we can connect on.
It just saddens me that something that initially looked like it would make our connection grow deeper, has turned into something that made us all drift further apart. Real healing takes time, but it starts with the small steps. I firmly believe that. We are all too emotional about it still. We need time. And kindness.
Hi Arjan, I am not sure what you mean. I think your wisdom to focus on the things folks do have in common and care for mutually is a great start to healing.
lovely feelings from this newsletter Arjan :)
Thank you very much, David.
Beautiful Arjan :)

Good thoughts about the impermanence of first loves...
And yet they stay with us in some way. Without first loves, no loves to follow.
Thank you for reading and leaving your thoughts, Sherman!
