That is just lovely! I love otters! They seem so playful. I grew up with echidnas, kangaroos, cockatoos, galahs, pelicans, and a myriad of other lovely birds & critters (including rather large spiders which were, frankly, quite hideous!) Here, in the north, we have lots of birds, and I saw my first elk a few months ago! I am yet to spot a hedgehog. They're cute! I hope you've settled into your new home :)
The settling in is going quite okay. We love France and have lived in Paris a few years back, so it's not completely unfamiliar. The biggest thing is the kids, now, who are doing very well adjusting to a new school in a new language.
