I'm sorry it found you and good you are vaccinated, I had a similar experience mid-June, it took a month to feel really better and taste to timidly return.
Thank you for your kindness! I'm already better. Taste is almost fully back, two weeks after recovery. Smell not fully, but interestingly, I can smell nice scents, but the not-so-nice ones are not fully back. So, I'm enjoying it while it lasts :).
Arjan we were in sick-sync! So glad to hear you're on the mend and didn't have too bad of a case, and even more so to have found you here. Looking forward to reveling in poems with you!
Yes, we were. I really don't want to compare, though. was testing positive, a bit tired, but other than that quite fine. Apart from loss of taste and smell, which is coming back.
Anyway, thank you for coming by and I am also happy to have found you on substack. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
Thanks, but don't worry. It was very manageable. Feeling good and it seems taste and smell are slowly coming back. So I'm good. Thanks for your care, my friend.
COVID sucks. I too went through the no taste no smell phase. It's like someone disconnected the wires to the taste + smell circuitry of your body. Get well soon!
AI art is so exciting, I LOVE IT!
I suggest you to try out Craiyon (formerly DALL E Mini) and Midjourney, they are super cool tools as well.
Yes, it does. In all honesty, I think thanks to my vaccination, I was not very sick. The lost of taste and smell is very, very weird, though. You describe it perfectly. I hope it all comes back soon, but it will be when it will be. Other than that, I'm fully up and running. So, all's good.
I will give Craiyon a try. I liked the results of Midjourney, but I am not a big fan of the discord interface. It's really confusing to me.
Informative and inspired - get well soon and keep being creative :)
Thanks, David! I've recovered, since. Thank you for reading, liking and leaving these kind words. Much appreciated.
And you still wrote a fresh poem!

Oh man, sorry to see this! Hopefully, you're feeling a little better by now?

Arjan! Thanks for the shoutout 😀
